Twenty Primary 5 students from the Innovators' Club experienced the "Future Tech Pioneers: Where AI Meets Mixed Reality" workshop sponsored by IMDA, where they used Generative AI tools to create 3D assets and explored interactive holograms using Meta Quest headsets.
On 14 August 2026, 20 Primary 5 students from the Innovators' Club took part in the "Future Tech Pioneers: Where AI Meets Mixed Reality" workshop, sponsored by IMDA and facilitated by XR industry studio VizioFly. The workshop aimed to expose students to cutting-edge technology by blending Generative AI and Mixed Reality in a hands-on learning experience.
During the session, students took on the role of tech creators, using AI tools on personal devices to generate custom 3D assets. They then deployed their creations into Meta Quest headsets, allowing them to witness their digital work come to life as interactive holograms within the physical environment. Students were seen enthusiastically using hand gestures and VR controllers to navigate and interact with their virtual creations.
The workshop was a meaningful opportunity for students to explore the possibilities of AI and mixed reality, sparking curiosity and inspiring them to see themselves as creators of technology
