National Day Celebrations and NE Show

Red, white and full of Singapore spirit! From the NE Show to our school celebrations, our Lakers celebrated our nation together while reflecting on the shared values, stories and experiences that unite us as Singaporeans.

Celebrating Singapore, Celebrating Us

Lakeside Primary School came alive in red and white as students and staff celebrated National Day with a joyful mix of learning, reflection and celebration.

Across the school, students took part in engaging classroom and recess activities that encouraged them to discover more about Singapore, express what our nation means to them and reflect on the part each of us plays in our shared future. The celebrations culminated in a lively school concert featuring student performances, community singing and an Observance Ceremony that brought everyone together in the spirit of National Day.

The experience extended beyond the school grounds for our Primary 5 students at the National Education (NE) Show, where they joined thousands of fellow students in celebrating Singapore’s story through spectacular performances and memorable moments.

Amidst all the cheers, songs and sea of red and white was an important reminder: Singapore’s story continues with each of us. Through these shared experiences, students strengthened their sense of belonging and will to act—celebrating how far we have come while recognising that they, too, have a part to play in shaping Singapore’s future.
