P3 Little Thinkers Camp, ‘School of Our D.R.E.A.M.S’

The Primary 3 students participated in the Little Thinker Camp where they embarked on learning journeys to various facilities to discover the significance of waste management in a school setting. The students also worked in groups to plan innovative solutions to present to their classmates and teachers.
The Primary 3 Little Thinkers Camp provided students with an engaging platform to explore the importance of waste management within the school environment. The camp included learning journeys to various sites such as an e-waste recycling facility, paper recycling plant, wood upcycling factory, and Edible Garden City – a social enterprise that champions the Grow-Our-Own-Food movement.
Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, students worked in groups to identify areas of wastage and brainstorm practical and creative solutions using design thinking approaches. They transformed their ideas into meaningful artifacts such as posters, poems, stories, jingles, and songs to advocate for responsible waste management. Under the facilitation by their teachers and with the support from the parent volunteers from our Parents Support Group, students designed prototypes and delivered presentations to encourage positive waste management habits within the Lakeside community.
The camp concluded with group presentations, where students confidently shared their projects with their peers and teachers, raising awareness about sustainable practices and encouraging the school community to play an active role in reducing waste.
