Primary 2 Prata Discovery Experience 2026
14 May 2026
The school hall was filled with excited cheers as the school held a Prata Discovery Experience for the students where they learnt the history and cultural importance of this local delight. With fun hands-on experience, the students were able to cultivate a deeper understanding of local culture.
The Primary Two Prata Discovery Experience, conducted on 14 and 15 May, was a meaningful extension of the STELLAR unit on roti prata. Students engaged in a hands-on, authentic learning experience where they explored the origins and cultural significance of this local delicacy.
Our students observed traditional preparation methods and participated in prata-making activities. This immersive experience allowed students to apply their learning in a real-world context. Through the process, they developed a deeper appreciation of local culture, experienced a strong sense of accomplishment, and enhanced their understanding, making learning both enjoyable and impactful for all.
