Primary 4 Learning Journey to Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery

Primary 4 students explored Chinese culture and heritage at the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery, learning about Nanyin music, Chinese opera, and calligraphy through hands-on activities.
The Primary 4 students visited the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery to learn about the history of Kreta Ayer and the cultural practices of Singapore’s Chinese community. During their visit, they explored four interactive stations featuring lessons and activities on Chinese culture and heritage.
They also listened to real-life stories of prominent Kreta Ayer community members, gaining insights into their contributions and significance in multicultural Singapore.
Students learned that Chinese opera was once the most popular form of live entertainment among the Chinese community in the past.
