Primary 6 Science Centre Learning Journey

P6 students explored biodiversity up close at the Singapore Science Centre's Ecogarden, collecting and identifying pond organisms under a microscope.
P6 students participated in an enrichment lesson at The Ecogarden, located at the Singapore Science Centre, exploring the diverse organisms in a pond.
The Ecogarden, a living outdoor laboratory, offers a wide variety of plants and animals for observation. Students collected different organisms from the pond and brought them back to the laboratory, where they examined and identified them under a microscope.
Through this hands-on inquiry experience, students developed adaptive thinking by applying their knowledge of biodiversity to real-world contexts. They collaborated in small groups to observe, classify, and identify organisms, strengthening communication and collaboration skills.

A student shared his observation of an organism in the SLS reflection.
