International Friendship Day

The theme for International Friendship Day is Strengthening Friendships Across Cultures in a Complex World. It encourages students to take charge by taking the initiative to foster meaningful connections with others and to appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives. By doing so, students will be better equipped to contribute to a cohesive and globally connected society.

Our school organised a variety of activities to provide students with an engaging and meaningful experience to deepen their understanding of our connections with other countries and strengthen friendships within the school community.


• Assembly talk on the importance of building strong friendships within ASEAN and in school by Choi Mun Yi (4 Respect) and Branson Lee (4 Perseverance)


• Teachers conducting CCE (FTGP) lessons about International Friendship Day


• Students designing kites - Flying kite is one of the recreation activities in ASEAN


• Students using the specially prepared information cards to learn more about ASEAN


• Students designing stamps to share their aspirations for 100 years of ASEAN


• Students playing traditional games from ASEAN


• Students sharing the information they gathered from their research on the ASEAN country they chose to explore


• Students reading the Kindsville Times Adventure to find out more about the Chair of ASEAN for the year


• Our staff dressing up in traditional costumes to commemorate IFD
